McFaddin Ranch provides an excellent habitat for a variety of traditional South Texas big game species. A full-time wildlife biologist is kept on staff to ensure that modern day management techniques are employed in order to produce the finest hunting opportunities possible for our guests and hunting lease members. We consider wildlife one the ranch’s most valuable resources and employ the most up-to-date methods of stewardship, including both ground and aerial game surveys, routine autopsies and most critical of all, maintaining an extensive database of records and observations to ensure that we have the means to detect and eliminate issues which may lead to the detriment of any of the wildlife populations on the ranch.

Our native South Texas habitat consists of coastal prairie, oak & mesquite brush cover, and pristine cypress and pecan river bottom. The natural habitat contains high protein forage, ensuring bucks have plenty of nutrients at their disposal to produce optimal body mass and horn size.

We currently offer yearly hunting leases with access to whitetail deer, quail and dove, as well as day hunts from our hunting lodge in a variety of methods for whitetail, feral hogs, geese, ducks, dove, sandhill crane, turkey, and coyote. This is a great place to strengthen bonds outside of the office that will revitalize and breathe fresh life into your organization. Children are always most welcome as well, as we understand the future of conservation rests on their shoulders.
